Together, we’re making a difference across Texas

In collaboration with Safe Haven Counseling, this page is a response to connect those in need of counseling to funds for those services. Funds will be given to vetted trauma informed Texas providers who are offering sliding scale fees to meet the needs of hurting families and first responders around them.

Your tax-deductible donation helps us ensure Texans are connected to compassionate, competent providers who value linking arms to make an impact.

Services are available for children, teens, parents, and adults navigating grief and trauma.

Donations for our support of client reimbursement for therapy are now open. Click here to apply.

Your donations cover the reimbursement of up to $500/individual ($50/session and our administrative costs of therapeutic support for individuals and first responders impacted by Texas flooding.

Thanks to your kindness and generosity, we have funding for 50 completely free or partially-reimbursed therapy sessions.

How Flood Relief Donations Will Support Mental Health Care

All donations to The Mental Wellness Collective’s Texas Flood Mental Health Relief Fund will be specifically earmarked to support administrative efforts and the community in two ways: reimburse clients directly, or pay providers who are offering sliding scale care to those impacted by the devastating floods across our state.

Here’s how it works:

  • Licensed providers or therapy clients will apply to participate in the fund.

  • Each applicant will complete a brief interview and vetting process, including license verification through BHEC for providers.

  • To qualify, providers must be listed on the Safe Haven Counseling Resource Guide, which includes trauma-informed and accessible professionals across Texas.

  • For client reimbursement, only a superbill and amount requested are needed-no notes, ever.

  • The Mental Wellness Collective does not provide clinical services.

  • Reimbursement will be issued within 30 days of approved providers submitting a completed request for payment.

Who We Prioritize

As we steward this fund, we will prioritize reimbursements for providers serving:

  • Survivors in flood-affected areas

  • Individuals who lost loved ones

  • First responders and emergency personnel impacted by the disaster

When Services Begin

Our goal is to begin funding reimbursement of up to $50/10 therapy sessions per individual starting in Fall 2025, as donations allow. This model is rooted in dignity, access, and community healing.
