We’re on a mission to bring providers + communities together, our way.

The Mental Wellness Collective is a Texas-based, nationally serving 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to strengthening the mental health landscape through the power of connection.

We believe that healthy providers promote healthy communities. Our work centers on two essential priorities: increasing access to a career in a mental health field for nontraditional students and supporting the wellbeing of mental wellness providers nationwide.

Confidence and competence go hand in hand—but they require real support. According to Medscape’s 2023 Mental Health Report, 60% of mental health professionals reported feeling burned out, often citing emotional exhaustion and a lack of meaningful connection. Add in financial stressors—like the cost of supervision, continuing education, and student debt—and the path to becoming and staying in this profession can feel overwhelming.

Being widely known isn’t the goal. Being deeply cared for is.

We’re building a ripple effect of healing—provider to provider, community to community. Our vision is a world where no one feels alone in their mental health journey. Through real connection, professional development, and celebration of authenticity, we’re helping people show up fully for themselves, and for one another.

Therapists, coaches, and mental health providers do life-changing work—and they deserve support that goes beyond CEUs and business cards. We’re here to help nontraditional students become providers and connect existing mental wellness professionals to their purpose, build confidence, and grow their impact through real, relevant, and relational tools.

When providers are unwell, their practice is unwell, and their ability to deliver compassionate, effective care diminishes. We’re here to disrupt everything you’ve been taught (or not) about what it means to be or become a mental health provider.

anything but boring
